Terms & Conditions

FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE POINT OF BOOKING

A deposit of 25% secures your booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. Prices include VAT and are for exclusive use of one dwelling sleeping 1-4 guests. In the high season Friday, Saturday and Sunday start dates may be available according to availability. Payment can be by electronic bank transfer (BACS) or sterling cheque. We can also accept payment by Paypal.

Payment

Bookings for 3-6 nights and 7 nights or longer.

A £250 or 25% deposit (whichever is greater) should be made should be made by electronic bank transfer or by Paypal payment or cheque, within 48 hours on receipt of Booking Confirmation email, letter or Paypal invoice. The balance becomes due 8 weeks prior to the start date of your stay.
All prices include VAT at the current rate.*

Online Bookings
Online bookings remain provisional until confirmed in writing usually by means of a Booking Confirmation email.
While we will always endeavour to book you into your first choice of lodge we reserve the right if necessary to move your booking from your booked lodge to the alternative lodge for operational reasons. Please let us know if you have a strong preference for your chosen lodge.

Cancellation Policies

If you require to cancel a reservation for any reason we must be notified by email or telephone immediately.

Cancellation Policy: Bookings made on or after 8th June 2020

Our Master Cancel program features flexible cancellation terms & conditions allowing our guests to book with confidence. Payments made for bookings cancelled for any reason 60 to 2 days prior to the due arrival date will be reimbursed.


Our Master Cancel program applies to all NEW bookings made after Monday 8th June 2020 with arrival dates on or after 1st August 2020.

 

The program does NOT apply to bookings made before 8th June 2020 including rescheduled bookings or bookings to which vouchers issued in lieu of deposits or balances with respect to bookings made before 8th June are applied.

 PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Guests can cancel between 60 days before and UP TO  2 DAYS prior to check-in and receive a refund. 

‘UP TO 2 Days Prior’ means that for example: For a check in on Saturday, Guests could cancel the prior Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but NOT Thursday (2 days prior) or Friday (1 day prior) or Saturday (day of check in).

 Master Cancel Terms & Conditions are as follows PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

• Only lodging costs are refunded. Additional extras, including but not limited to cleaning fees, taxes and other ancillary charges, will not be refunded.

• Refund Payment for cancelled bookings will be released back to the cancelling guest on the scheduled date of check-out of the original booking.

• Cancellations made 2 days or 1 day prior to or the day of check-in will not be eligible for refund. Example: For a check in on Saturday, Guests could cancel the prior Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but not Thursday (2 days prior) or Friday (1 day prior) or Saturday (day of check in).

• Guests may cancel their reservation by simply notifying Coillabus Lodges that they wish to cancel.

 

Late bookings, late cancellations and cancellations made more than 60 days before due arrival date for any reason.

Non-arrivals or cancellations  notified less than 2 DAYS prior to due arrival including those due to ferry or flight disruption will not be covered.  

Late or ‘Last minute’ bookings made less than 2 DAYS Prior to arrival as per above will not be covered.

 

If you cancel:

1) 14 days after making your booking and more than 60 days before you are due to arrive

OR

2) less than 2 days prior to arrival

We will make every effort to re-let your dates. Any deposit or balance payment made to us or the relevant portion of it will be reimbursed ONLY if we can relet the lodge for all or part of the cancelled let. Any necessary costs incurred including extra advertising, commissions  and late booking discounts applied will be deducted from any refund.

 

Cancellation Policy: bookings made prior to 8th June 2020

In the event of a cancellation more than 8 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit payment is forfeit.

In the event of a cancellation less than 8 weeks prior to arrival the full payment will be forfeit  if the property cannot be relet.


Coillabus cannot be held responsible for non-arrivals due to ferry or flight disruption for whatever reason including adverse weather conditions or industrial action and no refunds can be given.

We advise guests to take out adequate travel insurance. In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort to re-let the booking and your balance payment or the relevant portion of it  will be reimbursed if we can relet the lodge for all or part of the cancelled let. Any necessary costs incurred including extra advertising and late booking discounts applied will be deducted from the refund.

We strongly recommend that guests take out adequate travel insurance.

COVID 19 Update 7th June 2020

If your holiday was booked before June 8th 2020 and has been disrupted due to Covid 19 government imposed restrictions and or  travel restrictions then we will make every effort to reschedule your booking and apply your deposit to a booking at a later date.

Alternatively you can claim on your travel insurance if available.

 

Conditions of Rental.
Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure and arrive no earlier than 4pm on day of arrival except by prior arrangement.

For the comfort of other guests and as part of our fire safety policy we operate a strict no smoking in the property.

 The responsibility for personal property including vehicles is solely that of the guest/s.

The number of guests in a party must not exceed that previously agreed. When parties exceed 2 people the Extra Guest supplement must be selected on the online booking form.

Guests must not bring pets of any kind into the property except by prior arrangement and in the case of such arrangement our dog policy must be adhered to.

The property must be respected and looked after during any stay and left in a clean and tidy condition.

All damage/losses/breakages incurred at the property, or to the furnishings, must be reported and paid for prior to departure. 

 The owners or their representatives shall be allowed access to the property during the rental for all reasonable purposes - notice will be given whenever possible.

The owners shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to any persons or property whilst using the premises, or for any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever. 

We make every effort to provide facilities such as telephone, broadband connection, television, sauna and a functional  'star tub' outdoor bath however  in the case of disruption to any of these services the owners will make every effort to reinstate them but in an island context it is understood that delays are sometimes inevitable and no reimbursement will be made for loss of these services.

The acceptance of your reservation confirms your acceptance of the above terms & conditions, payment, and cancellation policy. This is a legal agreement which is binding.

*VAT is included at the current rate. In the event of a rise in the VAT rate we reserve the right to make a corresponding charge however as the business absorbs the VAT payable on your tariff  a reduction in the rate of VAT will not reduce the cost of your stay.
